Star Trac 8730 Recumbent Review

For state of the art, long lasting, health club quality stationary bikes, Star Trac is a great Star Trac 8730 Exercise Bikechoice. The Star Trac 8730 Recumbent Bike is a durable, high quality bike with a high end user capacity (tall and/or heavy users (up to 350lbs)).

I have used Star Trac Fitness Bikes at our park district health club and have found them to be sturdy and comfortable machines that can handle long hours of use with little wear and tear. The Star Trac 8730 Recumbent gets great reviews for comfort and design.

The Star Trac 8730 Recumbent, like other high-end recumbent stationary bikes, improves cardiovascular health and circulation and provide a safe, low impact aerobic exercise that has been used for physical therapy for years. Recumbent Fitness bikes are easy on the lower back. Many people with lower back pain have trouble finding exercise equipment that provides a good aerobic workout, is low impact and is easy on their backs.

Note: As of 12/09/2010 the Star Trac 8730 Recumbent was selling at Amazon for $2,518.95. As of 5/7/11 this bike was no longer available at Amazon.

Please see our Exercise Bike Ratings page for a full listing of the fitness bikes that are available with prices and ratings.

One indication of the quality of any fitness bike is generally the assembled weight of the product (this is not fool proof, of course, but it does give you an idea about how sturdy the product is likely to be).

The Star Trac 8730 is obviously a high-quality stationary bike so this is not really necessary for this model but if you have ever tried to lift or move one of these bikes, you will know what I mean about the products weight. The 350 lb user weight limit is also a good indicator of the bike's durability.

I have also used Star Trac fitness bikes at various fitness places and have always found them to be comfortable and sturdy. You will often find Star Trac, along with Life Fitness stationary bikes at many fitness clubs.
