The Lifecore 1050UBs Upright is kind of a hybrid or a cross between a light commercial exercise bike, with it's self-powered generator, easy and highly adjustable seat and handlebars, and heavy duty components, and a high-end, in-home upright with its compact size, large padded seat and mid-range price.

You also get more advanced heart-rate monitoring ~ with the wireless chest strap option (sold separately) ~ and easy to use heart-rate control (HRC) programs with the Lifecore 1050UBs.

Lifecore Fitness makes only high-end fitness bikes for commercial, light commercial and in-home use. Lifecore Bikes are sold at specialty fitness stores (such as Chicago Home Fitness) and online (factory direct) through LifeCoreFitness.com.

About-Bicycles Review:

The Lifecore 1050UBs Upright is a high quality, compact and sturdy fitness bike that is priced very well for the light commercial and high end in-home markets.

When I tested this bike I found the seat to be easily adjustable (up and down as well as forward and back) and very comfortable. The console was easy to read and easy to use with the Quick Program Set Keys and large function keys.

The self-powered generator is also a really nice feature that I have not seen on any other stationary bikes in this price range. Self-Powered generators are usually only found on much more expensive commercial grade bikes. This feature gives you the option to use your bike in more locations and without having to worry about where the power outlet is or to deal with extension cords.

The maximum resistance levels provides enough resistance for a good workout and it was easy to cycle through the other 16 resistance levels with the large function keys.

I would recommend the Lifecore 1050UBs when you are looking for a high quality self-powered and compact Upright for a comfortable ride and good aerobic workout.
