Free 2011 Bike Trail and Events Calendar

Here is an easy to print, free 2011 Bike Calendar with Bike Trail Photos (Illinois and Wisconsin) in addition to a generic 2011 calendar in  Excel and PDF formats. The format is designed to fit one month per regular 8.5x11 inch paper and includes US Bike Trail and Events calendarholidays and biking events.

In addition to the pre-made 2011 Bike Trail and Events calendar, I am also offering a free calendar generator program in Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Apps) which allows you to generate a calendar for any year, with any personal events you want to include and optional space for photos at the top of each month.

I usually generate a simple calendar with my own photos and events each year. This past year I put together a very cool and handy calendar program (in Excel using VBA (visual basic for applications)) that generates a calendar with all of the standard holidays and any personal events that you want to include in your own personal version of the calendar. (btw: I am a professional programmer so this is a quality program).

Since I have already created the 2011 calendar, you can simply download which ever version you prefer (the PDF is probably the simplest) or you can download the Calendar Generater and generate your own version (for any year that you like).

With the Calendar Generator program, once you enter your events, you can generate a calendar for any year you like. The events can be recurring (every year (like birthdays)) or one time events for each year (like many cycling events).

Sorry, I am little late for 2011 since we are already 9 days into the year, but I hope this will still be handy for those of you who are late on these kinds of things (like I am).

To download these calendars, click on the links, select > File > Save As and save the file to your PC.

  • 2011 Bike Trail Photo Calendar in Excel Format - Click on this link to download the bike trail photo calendar in 97-2003 Excel Format (no macros). This is a 2011 calendar with bike trail photos that can be printed as is or you can change the photos with photos of your own. There is one Excel tab per month.
  • Free Generic Calendar Generator Program in Excel VBA (includes 2007 Excel xlsx format and vba macro program) - May Require Excel 2007 or higher. You can generate a calendar for any year and include your own photos and your own events for each date with this version. You must save this file as an .XLSM file (not a zip file). NOTE: This version includes a VBA macro and you will get warning messages about the potential dangers of opening these kinds of files. I can tell you that this macro is very handy and is totally safe but you have to decide if you trust me or this site in order to open it and use it.

Note: I haven't added many events to the 2011 calendars just yet (1/9/11). So far I just have the Chicago Bike the Drive Event. but I may be adding more as the year progresses.
